ETI Consulting LLC helps governments, non-profits, public water systems, and businesses protect and enhance the environment through resource and product stewardship and regulatory compliance. Our skills include research and analysis, project and program management, strategy and planning, and training and communication.

ETI was founded in 1990 in New Jersey with a focus on software tools and training for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and has grown from those roots to today’s focus on drinking water and environmental stewardship.

People

John Lovie, principal of ETI Consulting LLC, received his BSc in Chemistry from the University of Manchester, and the Graduateship of the Institute of Metal Finishing from the London South Bank University. John worked in research and development, technical service, technical management, and regulatory compliance in the chemical industry for many years before founding ETI in 1990. His focus was on developing more environmentally friendly processes that consumed less water and produced less waste.

With ETI, John has focused on business management, software and database development, systems analysis and architecture, project and program management, and communication and training working with clients on environmental health and safety compliance. John is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer.

John has served on the board of a public water system, a water system association, and several local government advisory committees in the drinking water and environmental conservation and restoration areas.

John received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Washington State Office of Drinking Water and the Island County Jan Holmes Coastal Volunteer of the Year Award for 2023.

A 12 year resident of Whidbey, John enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and swimming on and around the island, and writing and speaking about his experiences.
